Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient medication records
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Assist in sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling procedures
- Train junior technicians on pharmacy protocols and software systems
- Ensure strict compliance with DEA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical math and compounding techniques
- Excellent attention to detail with zero-error medication dispensing
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- CPR certification preferred
