Responsibilities
- Perform complex venipuncture, capillary draws, and specialized blood collection procedures with precision
- Process and analyze specimens using advanced laboratory equipment (e.g., hematology analyzers)
- Maintain 100% HIPAA compliance and strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Train junior phlebotomists on advanced techniques and patient interaction protocols
- Implement quality control measures for specimen collection and handling
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize testing procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of phlebotomy experience in high-volume clinical setting
- Current ASCP or AMT certification required
- Expertise in pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-vein collections
- Proficiency with LIS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal
- Associates degree in Medical Technology preferred
