Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for complex surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterility
- Manage surgical equipment inventory and sterilization protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and sterile environments throughout procedures
- Document surgical cases accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in Level 1 trauma center
- Expertise in orthopedic, cardiovascular, and neurosurgical specialties
- BLS/CPR certification and Florida state license
- Proficiency with surgical robotics (e.g., Da Vinci) preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and crisis management skills
