Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the implementation of scalable quantum processor architectures, focusing on error correction and coherence optimization.
- R&D Direction: Lead research initiatives into novel qubit topologies and cryogenic control systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware engineers, software developers, and theoretical physicists to bridge the gap between theoretical models and physical implementation.
- Prototyping & Validation: Build and validate proof-of-concept prototypes for new quantum algorithms and circuit designs.
- Talent Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and research scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quantum computing, quantum mechanics, or advanced semiconductor physics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or similar) and experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex, multi-variable engineering problems under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
