Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop patient care plans
- Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in EMR systems
- Provide emergency medical interventions including wound care, medication administration, and life support
- Train and mentor junior nursing staff on triage procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for emergency care processes
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Minnesota RN license with minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree or higher preferred
- Proven ability to work under pressure with critical decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and trauma care
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Excellent communication and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
