Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone/telehealth to determine care urgency using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient flow and coordinate emergency services
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed documentation
- Provide clear, empathetic guidance to patients during high-stress situations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
- Train on advanced triage technologies including AI-assisted decision support tools
- Support disaster response protocols during mass casualty incidents
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BLS certification with current CPR credentials
- Minimum 1-year acute care experience (ED/ICU preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC/Cerner experience a plus)
- Commitment to complete our paid 8-week triage training program
- Strong communication skills with multilingual capabilities valued
