Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Provide expert guidance to patients and families during critical decision-making
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while adhering to HIPAA compliance
- Lead quality improvement initiatives for emergency department workflows
- Train and mentor junior nursing staff on triage protocols
- Participate in hospital-wide emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN license with minimum 3 years ED experience
- BSN or higher degree from accredited nursing program
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in emergency department triage systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills for high-stress patient interactions
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
