Responsibilities
- Assess patients via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Document patient interactions accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide clear instructions to patients and families during critical moments
- Maintain patient flow efficiency while ensuring safety standards
- Train junior triage staff on best practices and regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for emergency care
Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license with 3+ years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in telephone triage protocols (Triage Scale)
- Exceptional critical thinking under pressure
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Strong communication skills in high-stress environments
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
