Responsibilities
- Assess patient triage acuity levels using ESI protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists on critical cases
- Implement emergency response protocols for life-threatening conditions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EPIC)
- Provide patient education and discharge planning
- Oversee junior nursing staff during high-volume shifts
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (required)
- Minimum 5 years emergency department experience
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Proficiency in telehealth triage systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with ESI 5-level triage scale
