Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using evidence-based triage protocols
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clinical guidance to nursing staff during high-volume periods
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for emergency department efficiency
- Develop and implement triage policies aligned with JCAHO standards
- Mentor junior nurses on advanced triage techniques
Qualifications
- Active Nebraska RN license with minimum 3 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Proven expertise in emergency triage assessment tools (ESI, CTAS)
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in fast-paced environments
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
