Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize incoming patients using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to implement rapid treatment pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 99% compliance
- Lead triage team during high-volume peak shifts
- Develop innovative triage protocols for complex cases
- Mentor junior nursing staff on advanced assessment techniques
- Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active TN RN license with 5+ years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- BSN or higher preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR and ESI protocols
- Demonstrated crisis management and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication skills across diverse populations
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress environments
- Spanish bilingualism highly desirable
