Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity using ESI protocols and clinical judgment
- Lead interdisciplinary care coordination for complex cases
- Implement evidence-based triage protocols in emergency and urgent care settings
- Mentor junior staff and develop departmental training programs
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient flow and resource allocation
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote triage consultations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety audits
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana RN license with minimum 3 years triage experience
- BLS/ACLS certification; TNCC or ENPC preferred
- BSN or higher degree (MSN candidates strongly encouraged)
- Expertise in ESI scoring and emergency department workflows
- Proven leadership experience in healthcare settings
- Proficiency in Epic or comparable EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
