Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and sterile conditions throughout surgeries
- Manage surgical supplies and inventory to ensure optimal operating room efficiency
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless surgical workflows
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience in hospital settings
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrument sterilization techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
