Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize care in a high-volume Level I Trauma Center
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop critical care pathways
- Maintain accurate EHR documentation while adhering to JCAHO and HIPAA standards
- Lead interdisciplinary team huddles during peak surge periods
- Implement triage protocols using ESI and Manchester Triage Systems
- Mentor junior triage staff and conduct quality improvement audits
- Participate in hospital-wide emergency preparedness initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years emergency department or critical care nursing experience
- Active Georgia RN license with BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Emergency Medicine specialization preferred
- Expertise in rapid assessment of complex multi-system presentations
- Proven ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EHR and telehealth triage platforms
- Strong leadership skills with experience in staff development
