Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop immediate care plans for emergency patients
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed triage documentation
- Lead quality improvement initiatives for emergency department protocols
- Provide mentorship to junior nursing staff during high-volume periods
- Coordinate with specialists to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Analyze departmental metrics to identify operational bottlenecks
Qualifications
- Current Hawaii RN license with 5+ years ER/Triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Strong knowledge of EMTALA regulations and JCAHO standards
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure environments
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
