Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases in high-volume emergency department
- Collaborate with physicians to develop immediate care plans
- Oversee triage team and ensure protocol adherence
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 99% accuracy
- Train new nurses on triage protocols and emergency procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Handle complex cases including pediatric, geriatric, and trauma patients
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 5 years emergency nursing experience
- Current Louisiana RN license (or compact license)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
- Spanish language skills a plus
