Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate).
- Assist patients with mobility issues and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Document patient progress, behaviors, and changes in condition in accordance with facility policy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
