Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patients
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using digital dental software (Epic or Dentrix)
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and manage dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Current RDA or CDA certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) techniques
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with dental charting software
