Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, drug interactions, and dosage instructions to ensure patient safety.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing expiration dates.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems (e.g., Rx30, PioneerRx).
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries, refill requests, and insurance verifications.
- Generate and prepare prescription labels and medication bottles.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or equivalent state license.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred (minimum 1 year in retail or hospital setting).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with healthcare software systems.
