About the Role:
In this pivotal position, you will collaborate with pharmacists to prepare and dispense prescription medications. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, verifying patient information, and providing top-tier customer service to our community. Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to doctor's orders and safety protocols.
- Assist pharmacists in the dispensing process, including verifying prescriptions and labeling.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing stock.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving inquiries.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy work area to ensure a safe environment.
- Utilize pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner) to track patient data and inventory.
Qualifications
- Current and active RPhTech or CPhT certification (or equivalent).
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician License.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required for high-potential candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
