Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical equipment in compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
- Operate and maintain specialized surgical equipment including electrosurgical units and robotic systems
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and sterilization processes
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience in orthopedic/general surgery
- Proficiency in sterile processing and equipment sterilization techniques
- BLS/CPR certification and knowledge of surgical safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
