Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and prioritize emergency cases
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Document assessments and interventions in Epic EHR systems
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and NMDOH standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current NM RN license (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 3 years ER/urgent care experience
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
- Proficient in triage protocols and ESI scoring
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EMR systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
