Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency of care
- Make critical triage decisions for emergency department patients
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient flow
- Educate patients and families on emergency department processes
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN license required
- Minimum 2 years emergency or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (ENPC preferred)
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
