Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using SBAR protocol to determine acuity levels
- Coordinate care pathways with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff
- Utilize Epic EMR systems for accurate documentation and communication
- Provide telehealth triage for virtual patient consultations
- Develop discharge plans and follow-up protocols for non-emergency cases
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and CMS regulations
- Mentor junior nursing staff during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact license)
- 3+ years ER or urgent care triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree or higher preferred
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations
