Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage evaluations to determine the acuity of medical conditions.
- Document patient encounters accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Manage high volumes of incoming patient calls and inquiries, prioritizing urgent cases for immediate attention.
- Apply clinical judgment to make sound decisions regarding patient disposition and referrals.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a clinical setting, emergency department, or triage experience.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to de-escalate patient concerns.
- Proficiency in using computerized medical systems and EMR software.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
