Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical equipment including robotics, endoscopes, and power tools
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies to maintain optimal stock levels
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience in a hospital setting
- Proficient with modern surgical equipment (robotics experience preferred)
- BLS certification and current TB screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique mastery
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
