Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedures
- Account for all surgical items before, during, and after operations
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and sterile solutions
- Transport patients to and from surgical suites
- Document all equipment inventory and sterilization processes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and sterilization techniques
- Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures
- Strong attention to detail in equipment handling
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with minimally invasive surgical equipment preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
