Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterilized instruments and provided equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical equipment sterilization and maintenance according to protocols
- Document case details and equipment usage accurately
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless case flow
- Maintain inventory of provided surgical instruments and supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years recent surgical tech experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to operate provided advanced surgical equipment
- Current BLS certification
- Alaska state surgical tech license
- Experience with general, orthopedic, and specialty surgeries
