Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless procedures
- Document case details and equipment usage accurately
- Train on new surgical technologies as they're introduced
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of scrub tech experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency with laparoscopic, robotic, and orthopedic equipment
- BLS certification and knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and emergency response skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
