Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment per surgeon specifications
- Maintain sterile fields during complex surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons with instrument passing and wound closure
- Perform equipment sterilization and inventory management
- Document procedural details accurately in EHR systems
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care
- Adhere to OSHA and AORN safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience preferred
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in endoscopic and robotic surgery equipment
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI)
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours with precision focus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
