Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures and sterilize equipment
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Monitor sterile fields and maintain aseptic technique compliance
- Handle surgical specimens and documentation accurately
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and instruments
- Collaborate with surgical team for efficient case turnover
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and hospital safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Current BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
