Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical equipment using advanced autoclave systems
- Assist surgeons with instrument handling during complex procedures
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce aseptic protocols
- Operate robotic surgical systems and video monitoring equipment
- Inventory and manage specialized orthopedic/neurosurgical instrumentation
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless case flow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 2+ years experience in orthopedic/neurosurgical specialties
- Proficiency with robotic surgical systems (e.g., da Vinci, MAKO)
- Knowledge of advanced sterilization standards (AORN, AAMI)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to troubleshoot OR equipment malfunctions
