Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining sterile fields
- Handle sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical trays
- Monitor equipment functionality and troubleshoot technical issues
- Document procedures accurately per regulatory standards
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of recent OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to operate surgical equipment (provided by employer)
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Current BLS certification
