Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for diverse procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with instrument passing and sterile technique
- Maintain equipment sterilization per OSHA and hospital protocols
- Document procedure details and inventory usage accurately
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Manage surgical supplies and equipment troubleshooting
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible scheduling
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and infection control
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
