Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Operate advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems and endoscopic devices
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Mentor junior techs on equipment operation and sterile techniques
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Proficiency with advanced surgical equipment (robotics, endoscopes, etc.)
- BLS certification and willingness to obtain ACLS
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Texas state surgical tech license in good standing
