Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims using provided specialized software and equipment
- Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics for all procedures
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve claim denials efficiently
- Conduct thorough audits of billing documentation for compliance
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience with proven accuracy
- Certification in CPC, COC, or similar billing credential preferred
- Proficiency with medical billing software (equipment provided)
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote equipment-supported environment
