Responsibilities
- Assist the Surgical Team: Provide critical support to surgeons and nurses before, during, and after procedures.
- Prepare the OR: Set up operating rooms with all necessary surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain Sterility: Adhere strictly to sterile field protocols to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Instrument Management: Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons with precision and speed.
- Patient Care: Transport patients to and from the operating room and monitor their vital signs.
- Inventory Control: Count and organize surgical supplies and manage sterile stock.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We are looking for candidates willing to learn.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Certification: Willingness to obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) and Surgical Technology certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
