Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and sterile field protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and provide post-operative care assistance as directed by the charge nurse.
- Assist with room turnover and cleaning between surgical procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless operations.
- Document surgical data accurately and maintain patient records.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork skills.
