Responsibilities
- Assist in Surgical Procedures: Provide critical assistance to surgeons during various surgical operations.
- Preparation: Prepare operating rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Instrument Management: Count and organize surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies accurately.
- Patient Care: Monitor patient vitals and provide comfort during procedures.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient data, specimens, and surgical instruments used.
- Sanitization: Follow strict protocols for sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic technique.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA).
- Licensure: Active state license as a Surgical Technician in Texas.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain strict adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
