Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Manage surgical equipment inventory and sterilization processes
- Document procedural details and maintain electronic health records remotely
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams via telehealth platforms
- Participate in continuing education through virtual training modules
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in surgical sub-specialties
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
- Excellent time management and remote communication skills
- Tennessee state license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
