Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Perform sterilization and maintenance of surgical equipment per OSHA standards
- Document procedures accurately using our EMR system with remote accessibility
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless surgical workflows
- Participate in inventory management and supply chain optimization
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with EMR systems (remote documentation capability)
- BLS/CPR certification with current renewal
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
- Virginia state license in good standing
