Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to strict aseptic techniques
- Monitor inventory levels and restock surgical supplies efficiently
- Document procedure details and equipment usage accurately
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification and current Texas license
- Expertise in sterile processing and instrument sterilization
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and procedures
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
