Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Anticipate procedural needs and ensure optimal equipment functionality
- Implement strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards
- Document surgical counts and equipment usage accurately
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with procurement
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent operating room experience
- Proficiency in multiple surgical specialties (ortho, neuro, general)
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
