Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
- Count and account for all surgical instruments/supplies pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients and provide intraoperative care support
- Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless operations
Qualifications
- Current CST certification or equivalent surgical tech credentials
- Minimum 1 year recent OR experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to cover various surgical specialties
