Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring equipment sterility and functionality
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count surgical supplies and instruments pre/post-procedure to ensure compliance
- Transport patients between surgical suites and recovery areas with safety protocols
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical equipment and instruments
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent military training
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year hospital OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid Ohio Surgical Tech license
