Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide exceptional patient care and communication during procedures
- Document patient information and specimen details in electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab staff to ensure timely test processing
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
