Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify medications according to prescription orders
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription management and record-keeping
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize patient care outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication interactions and sterile compounding
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Basic math skills for dosage calculations and inventory management
