Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile conditions
- Manage surgical supplies and inventory with precision
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments per OSHA standards
- Document perioperative activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- 1+ years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification mandatory
- Ability to stand for extended periods in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique expertise
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- El Paso residency preferred
