Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments in operating rooms and sterile processing areas
- Document surgical inventory and equipment maintenance records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless case flow
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical safety
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI/ANSI)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgical needs
- Valid California Surgical Technology license
