Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and sterile field protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and communicate any changes to the surgical team immediately.
- Ensure the proper labeling and handling of surgical specimens.
- Transport patients safely to and from the operating suite.
- Document surgical procedures and instrument counts accurately.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical surgical setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
